At Highgate House School we work to give back to our children the right to a natural childhood. In our pressured and competitive society, children need a secure and unhurried setting to discover within themselves their own love of learning. They need the time and space to play. The Kindergarten provides a bridge between the family home and the formality of primary school by creating a loving and gentle introduction to living in a learning community with other human beings. The adults in the children's environment must be ever conscious of the special nature of each individual child and work on themselves to be role models worthy of the young child's imitation. The children learn healthy social skills and develop according to their natural pace. We strive to provide parents with a real choice in the field of early years' education in Hong Kong, giving children a foundation for lifelong learning through a home like environment.
